Booking Terms & Conditions
1. Our contract
All reservations are made through licensed franchisees in Tanzania, Kenya, or Uganda operating under the name Nyange Adventures. By booking a trip with us, you are deemed to have agreed to these Booking Conditions (which constitute the entire agreement between you and us), and we will accept your booking on that basis. The services that will be provided are those listed on your booking confirmation invoice.
2. Validity
The reservation is only valid after we send you the booking confirmation. Bookings are not valid until payment is received. Only after we send the booking confirmation is the reservation considered valid.
3. Deposit requirement
A deposit is required for your booking to be confirmed. Please keep in mind that different deposit amounts are required for different trips.
4. Acceptance of booking and final payments
If we accept your booking, we will send you an email confirmation. We will have a contract between us as of the date we issue the confirmation. Final payment information can be found on your booking confirmation. The balance of the trip cost is due before the departure date. If this balance is not paid on or before the due date, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation.
5. Prices & surcharges
Our trip prices are subject to variable and seasonal pricing, which is common in the travel industry. This means that our trip prices may change at any time based on demand, market conditions, and availability. Different passengers on the same trip were most likely charged different prices. If you like the price you see, you should book at that time. If you receive a quote, the price will be locked in if you pay the required deposit before the quote expires. Any lower prices or discounts that become available after you have paid your deposit will not apply.
Full cancellation conditions apply if you wish to cancel your booking in order to take advantage of a lower price. Prices are based on current currency exchange rates plus exchange fees; please keep in mind that prices may differ depending on the currency in which the booking is made. We reserve the right to impose surcharges in the event of unfavorable changes in exchange rates, increases in airfares or other transportation costs, increases in local operator costs, taxes, or if required by government action. In such cases, we will be responsible for up to 2% of the trip price, and you will be responsible for the remainder.
If a surcharge results in an increase of more than 10% of the trip price, you may cancel the booking and receive a full refund within 14 days of being notified of the surcharge. Once paid in full, we will not surcharge any booking for travel within the validity of this brochure. The cost of your air inclusive trip includes Air Passenger Duty. Please keep in mind that all credit card purchases may be subject to a surcharge.
6. Your details
To confirm your travel arrangements, you must provide all requested details as well as the balance of the trip price. The necessary details vary depending on the trip; they include, but are not limited to, your full name as it appears on your passport, your date of birth, your nationality, your passport number, your passport issue and expiry date, and any pre-existing medical conditions that may affect your ability to complete your travel arrangements. On some of our more difficult trips, you must also complete and submit a Self-Assessment form. Failure to provide requested information may result in additional charges or a non-refundable trip cancellation.
7. Health requirements
We are not medical professionals. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are physically fit enough to participate fully in the trip and to obtain proper and detailed medical advice on the most recent health requirements and recommendations for your destination. If you fail to do so and are either denied entry into a country or suffer personal injury as a result, we will have no liability to you for any loss or damage you suffer.
8. Group Joining Adventures
Unless the minimum group size specifically states otherwise, our trips are guaranteed to depart once they have one fully paid traveller. This means that we may occasionally have groups with a small number of travelers. Many of our trips are designed to be combined with other departures to form a longer “combination” trip; this means that some of your group may have already been traveling together for several weeks when your trip begins. If you want to know how many people are booked on your trip or any combination trip it is a part of, please inquire before making your reservation.
9. Travel insurance
Travel insurance is strongly advised for all of our guests and should be purchased at the time of booking. Personal accident, death, medical expenses, and emergency repatriation must all be covered by your travel insurance, with a recommended minimum of US $200,000 for each category of coverage. We also strongly advise it to include coverage for cancellation, curtailment, personal liability, and loss of luggage and personal effects.
10. Flexibility
You recognize and appreciate that the nature of this type of travel necessitates considerable flexibility, and you should plan for alternatives. The itinerary provided for each trip is representative of the types of activities considered, but it is understood that the route, schedules, itineraries, amenities, and mode of transportation are subject to change without notice due to local circumstances or events.
11. Change of itinerary
While we make every effort to run all trips as described, we reserve the right to change the trip itinerary at any time. Please check our website before departing for the most recent itinerary updates.
Before departure: If we make a significant change, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible if time permits. A major change is defined as one that affects at least one day out of every five on the itinerary. When a major change occurs, you have the option of accepting the change, receiving a refund for the land portion of the trip only, or accepting an alternative tour offered.
After departure: We reserve the right to alter an itinerary due to local circumstances or events beyond our control. You will bear the additional costs of any necessary itinerary changes in such emergency situations. Please keep in mind that we are not responsible for any incidental expenses incurred as a result of the itinerary change, such as visas, vaccinations, or non-refundable flights.
12. Authority on tour
A group leader oversees our group trips. The group leader’s decision on all matters likely to affect the safety or well-being of any traveller or staff member participating in the trip is final. If you fail to comply with a group leader’s decision or interfere with the group’s well-being or mobility, the group leader may direct you to leave the trip immediately, with no right of refund. We may also choose not to carry you on any future trips. You must always follow the laws, customs, foreign exchange, and drug regulations of the countries you visit, and you also agree to follow our responsible travel guidelines.
13. Acceptance of risk
We acknowledge that the nature of the trip is adventurous, and that participation entails some personal risk. You will be visiting places where the political, cultural, and geographical characteristics present greater dangers and physical challenges than in our daily lives. We assess whether the itinerary should go ahead based on information from government foreign departments and reports from our own contacts. It is, however, your responsibility to become familiar with all relevant travel information and the nature of your itinerary. You acknowledge that your decision to travel is based on this information, and you accept that you are aware of the personal risks associated with such travel.
14. Limitation of liability
We will not be liable for any damage or loss if the failure to perform the contract is caused by:
- you are responsible for
- Attributable to a third party unrelated to the provision of the contracted-for services, and the event is unforeseeable or unavoidable
- Due to unforeseen and unusual circumstances beyond our control, the consequences of which could not have been avoided even with all due care
- Due to political disputes, border closures, visa denials, industrial action, climate or other similar issues, or any other force majeure
- Due to an event that the Company, despite its best efforts, could not foresee or prevent.
15. Optional activities
Optional activities that are not included in the trip price are not included in the trip or this contract. You agree that any assistance provided by your group leader or local representative in organizing optional activities does not make us liable in any way. The contract for that activity will be between you and the activity provider.
16. Claims & complaints
If you have a complaint about your trip, please notify your group leader or our local representative as soon as possible so that they can try to resolve the issue. If satisfaction is not obtained through these means, any further complaint should be submitted in writing to us within 30 days of the tour’s conclusion.
17. Jurisdiction
The courts of Tanzania, Kenya, or Uganda (depending on where the tour began) will have exclusive jurisdiction to hear any dispute arising under or in connection with this Agreement.
18. Severability
If any term or condition in these Booking Conditions is deemed unenforceable or void by operation of law, as being contrary to public policy, or for any other reason, such term or condition shall be deemed severed from this contract or amended accordingly only to the extent necessary to allow all remaining terms and conditions to survive and continue to be binding.
19. Photos and marketing
You agree that we may use images of you taken during the trip for advertising and promotional purposes in any medium we deem appropriate. You grant us a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable license to use such images for promotional and publicity purposes.
20. Privacy policy
Any personal information we collect about you may be used for any purpose related to the operation of a Trip or to send you marketing material about our events and special offers. The information may be disclosed to our agents, service providers, or other suppliers in order for us to operate the Trip. We will otherwise treat your information in accordance with our privacy policy.

Real Reviews from Real Trekkers
EXCELLENT Based on 448 reviews Erick Lew2025-05-09Verified Safari of a Lifetime in Tanzania, We did a safari with Nyange Adventures covering Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Lake Manyara. It was an absolute dream. Our guide (Joseph) was a true expert, spotting animals we would have never seen on our own. The lodges were fantastic, and the organization was flawless. We saw the Great Migration, lions, elephants, and so much more. Thank you, Nyange! Airlie M2025-05-04Verified Safari of a Lifetime in Tanzania 100% recommended. Nyange Adventures made my Kilimanjaro climb an unforgettable experience. From the pre-climb briefing to the summit push, their guides were professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly supportive. The equipment was top-notch, and the food was surprisingly good on the mountain. Highly recommend them for anyone dreaming of conquering Kili. Climbing Kilimanjaro is tough, but Nyange Adventures' support team made it so much more manageable. The porters were amazing, and the cook prepared delicious and nourishing meals. Our head guide [Joseph] was experienced and prioritized our safety and well-being. Highly recommend their Kilimanjaro team. Regina O2025-03-25Verified Unforgettable Safari Experience. Our safari with Nyange Adventures through Lake Manyara and Serengeti was incredible! We saw so many animals in their natural habitat, and the expertise of the guide made each moment more enriching. HC2025-03-08Verified An incredible team and an unforgettable climb. The group tour I signed up for ended up being a solo trip due to last minute cancellations. However, this gave me great flexibility with the itinerary and a perfect opportunity to get to know the team. I felt safe, respected and taken care of as a female solo traveller. The whole trip felt seamless. Amnaay, the mountain guide, was instrumental to my successful summit - he was knowledgable and professional. The meals provided every day were freshly prepared and delicious. The team of porters amazed me every day with their physical abilities and joyful spirit. Bonding with the team was a highlight of the trip - not a day went by without someone bursting into a belly laugh! I also stayed at the Kibo View Farm before and after the climb, which was a little slice of heaven. I would highly recommend Nyange Adventures for their local expertise and fair treatment of porters. Carlos2025-02-18Verified A personal goal achieved thanks to the guidance and support received from the Nyange Adventures team. At age 73 I successfully completed the ascent of Mount Kilimanjaro, via the Lemosho route, a week ago today. Throughout the eight day trek and the final ascent to Uhuru Peak I was impressed by the guidance and support received at all times from the entire Nyange Adventures team. The guides, Mo and Colin, the cook, the waiter and the fantastic team of porters that accompanied me made my success possible, and I would therefore not hesitate to recommend Nyange Adventures to anyone considering the experience of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. Leticia L2024-12-27Verified Excellent and exceptional experience! My experience couldn't be better and I couldn't recommend Nyange more! They are excellent and I'm super satisfied with everything.I booked my climbing to Kilimanjaro with them and everything was perfect from the starting communication to the very last second I was with them.I'm a woman solo traveler and I felt safe every single time. All the staff is very nice, helpful and attentive. They really make the phrase "come as a client, leave as a friend" come true, I'll miss everyone! Special thanks to my guide in Kilimanjaro: Amnaay (if you wanna go with him, I assure you'll have a fun and pleasant time! He knows a lot, is very encouraging and literally held me when I couldn't walk anymore. I don't know if I could reach the summit without him and all the other guys that came with me - the cooker, waiter and porters, everyone special, very professional and has their space in my heart). They arranged everything I needed: my commuting from the city center to the farm (their farm is amaaaaazing, beautiful and the room was super comfortable and clean and with a breathtaking view of Kilimanjaro. All the delicious food they make is local - with ingredients from the farm), even in my last night Amnaay asked them if they could cook Ugali for me, and they did!The owner, Praise, is also very caring and himself always make sure that everything is ok, always having nice conversations, asking if I need something, etc.I could be here writing a review of 50 pages only speaking good things about them. Highly recommend! It was for sure the best experience in my life and thanks for them! Jocelyn K2024-12-10Verified Highly Recommend Nyange Adventures - a life changing experience I highly recommend Nyange Adventures. Amina coordinated our tour and was extremely helpful, communicative, and accommodating. We did a 9-day safari and 3-days in Zanzibar all coordinated through Nyange Adventures for our honeymoon. It was the perfect amount of time if you plan to do both Central Serengeti (most popular) and Northern Serengeti (Wildebeest migration in September), which we did. I wish we had more time in Zanzibar, and we could have easily spent 5-7 days there and scuba dived. Our safari was exceptional because our guide, Joseph, was top notch. Joseph is so kind and professional. He went out of his way to make sure we had an incredible experience. Joseph knew where to go, when to wake up, and he was just as excited to see the wildlife as we were, which made it even better. Our stays were mid-tier, and we always had a shower and bathroom. Some stays were better than others, admittedly, but the food was always delicious and the hospitality of the staff was incredible. Be prepared to spend a lot of time in the car and on bumpy, wild, and remote roads... remember that is what a safari entails. Be patient and let go of control. In order to access once-in-a-lifetime nature, you have to rough it a bit. We enjoyed learning more about the history of Tanzania (Tan-gan-ika) and Swahili culture. Do not skip the tribe immersions (we met the Hadzabe, Datoga, and Masai tribes). Pay your white people tax and spread USD tips around. Bring a lot of cash with you as we had trouble accessing ATMs. I wish we brought more cash, so we didn't have to waste time figuring out how to pay once we arrived. Amina warned me, but I didn't understand and if I went again, I would bring even more USD. Hadiya was our guide in Zanzibar. We did a walking tour with her. She was very informative, kind, and helpful. Skip the spice tour if you can... it is a big tourist trap. After a safari, you might want some time to decompress at these incredible beaches. Be prepared that the tides are strong and occur in the middle of the day. Amina booked a perfect hotel for us - the Sunshine Marine Lodge. In Zanzibar, it really matters where you stay! My only regret is not scuba diving. We ended our days on safari with a campfire and a dancing ceremony. I would highly recommend learning Swahili words and using Swahili language with locals. There is a lot to learn from the people who live in Tanzania - every person we met had a unique story and shared more about their way of life. Be patient. Embrace their culture and learn something. I really didn't want to leave and I can't wait to go back. I think about this experience every day. Courtney K2024-11-16Verified Best team ever! I can honestly say that this was one of the best experiences I have ever had traveling. It was made special because of the amazing people who supported our trek up Kily- from our awesome guides, Amnaay and Musa, to Oscar, our chef, who prepared delicious meals to Steve, our waiter, who ensured all of our needs were met to Mohammed who ensured our tents and sleeping quarters were up to snuff and ever porter who supported our hike. Everyday I looked forward to seeing our team on the mountain, they always had smiles on their faces and were cheering us along the way. We became family as we shared time together and I learned to trust my team. Nyange Adventures is top notch and I highly recommend Nyange for your trek up Kily! Eduardo F2024-10-17Verified Trip of a lifetime in the Ngorongoro crater with Rashidi Spent three days with Rashidi at the Ngorongoro crater and had the time of a life. Rashidi is an excellent guide. Not only can he spot the mammals, sometimes from kilometers away. But he can spot birds too. He can recognize the calls and finds them when they are hidden in thick bush. His English is great and he is knowledgeable about the land and people as well. We saw giraffes, lions, elephants, rhinos, serval cats, water buffalo, wildebeest, zebras, hippos, plus over 30 species of birds! Can’t recommend this company and Rashidi enough.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
